I've done many paid jobs and volunteer positions over the years. My first job, like many other people, was a paper route. I also worked at Zehrs, the Beer Store, and The City of Cambridge. I've done factory work, been a plumber's helper, worked for a home renovation company, done warehouse work and was a researcher at a Provincial Park. Some jobs I obviously liked more than others, but as was discussed by Sean Aiken, the main thing I enjoyed was the friendships and the people I met. So, of the jobs that Sean Aiken did, which ones do you think you would enjoy the most? Why? Which of the jobs he did do you think you would enjoy the least? Why? If you currently have a job; what is it and what do like the most and the least about it?
Finally, one of his main points was to do what you feel passionate about and not fear what others think about you. I can honestly say that I love my job and can't see myself doing anything else at this point in my life. I persevered through six years of university, even though most of my friends dropped out and one even told me I didn't belong at university. So, what jobs or volunteer work would you like to try this summer or in the near future? What do you feel passionate about?
